The works – a four-lane expressway involve the construction of 5 viaducts and relative elevated entry slip roads, for a total of more than 6,700 m of decks, a 120 m tunnel and other minor works.

The artery allows traffic to by-pass the urban centre of Pescara, hooking up with the A14 (Adriatica) and A25 (Rome) motorways.
