Section 1 – Stretch 1 – Lot 2: from 8+000 km to 13+000 km. Southbound carriageway

Modernization and upgrading works to Type 1/b of CNR/80 regulations

The project involves the construction of a new section of the A3 Salerno – Reggio Calabria motorway through the construction of 2 tunnels measuring approximately 775 m and 698 m in length respectively, 2 viaducts of a total length of 120 m with composite decks and 1 viaduct totalling 240 m, this viaduct is composed of prestressed reinforced concrete box girders and constructed with the cantilever method, seismically isolated through elastic devices.

The project also includes minor works such as hydraulic culverts, underpasses and overpasses to deal with interference with the various municipal roads adjacent to the road axes.
