Chieti, 18 June 2026 – Toto Costruzioni Generali and CGT, Caterpillar’s Italian dealer with more than 90 years of experience and part of the TESYA Group, announce an agreement for the supply of specialised equipment aimed at renewing and strengthening the company’s operational fleet across its construction sites.
The fleet includes a wide range of machines, including dozers, wheeled and tracked loaders, tracked excavators, dumpers, demolition hammers and mobile generator sets. The equipment features state-of-the-art technologies such as 3D systems, operator-assistance systems and ground personnel detection systems. By leveraging artificial intelligence algorithms, these systems can identify people and obstacles within the machines’ operating range, slowing their movements and, if necessary, bringing them to a complete stop. These technologies ensure high operational performance, reliability, and efficient, sustainable and safe operation even in the most complex construction environments.
The first 30 machines delivered will be immediately deployed on major ongoing projects in Sicily, particularly the construction site for the doubling of the Cefalù/Ogliastrillo – Castelbuono railway line on the Palermo-Messina route, and in Central Italy, including the Amatrice bypass project and seismic upgrading works on motorway viaducts along the A24 and A25 motorways. In the coming months, the machines will also be used on new projects due to start in the Province of Mantova, the Ferrara area and the Marche region.
The agreement forms part of Toto Costruzioni Generali’s broader five-year investment plan, worth approximately €122 million, dedicated to fleet renewal and the continuous improvement of construction site performance.

The CGT solution also includes dedicated financial instruments, value-added maintenance agreements with guaranteed consumption and remote monitoring, as well as extended warranty programmes. This confirms an integrated approach designed to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their equipment.
