The investment, worth approximately <strong>\u20ac9 million<\/strong>, reflects a shared vision combining advanced technologies, reduced fleet carbon footprint, a strong commitment to workforce safety, energy efficiency, and innovative sustainable site logistics.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>We invest in technology to make a difference \u2013 for people and for the territory,<\/strong>\u201d said <strong>Paolo Toto<\/strong>, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TCG. \u201cWorking with Volvo Trucks, we are introducing a fleet that will significantly <strong>enhance reliability and energy efficiency<\/strong> across our sites, while <strong>strengthening our commitment to workplace and environmental safety<\/strong>\u2014from training to the adoption of the most advanced technologies.\u201d<br\/>Volvo vehicles are already operating on our sites for new strategic transport infrastructure, including major works in Central Italy, where we are engaged in seismic safety works on motorway and national road sections crossing the areas affected by recent earthquakes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The supply includes almost the entire Volvo Trucks range, with the exception of a single model, with configurations selected to cover the full spectrum of TCG operations: heavy handling and transport, specialized site support, cleaning and washing services, concrete transport and pumping. <strong>At the top of the range stands the Volvo FH16 780<\/strong>, the most powerful engine in the sector, chosen to combine<strong> performance, safety and optimized fuel consumption<\/strong>.<br\/>Additional models, including the <strong>FL, FM and FMX<\/strong>, have been customised for specific applications such as sweepers, road washers, crane trucks, tippers, mixers and concrete pumps\u2014ensuring maximum flexibility across a wide range of operational environments.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>Our priority is to bring innovation, safety and training into everyday operations,<\/strong>\u201d said <strong>Devis Colombo, Sales Director of Volvo Trucks Italia<\/strong>. \u201cFrom <strong>advanced safety systems<\/strong> and enhanced <strong>aerodynamic<\/strong> to the latest-generation <strong>Volvo Dynamic Steering<\/strong>, our focus is to reduce driver fatigue, , improving vehicle stability and delivering a more efficient and comfortable driving experience, with measurable gains in fuel consumption and emissions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative forms part of a broader <strong>\u20ac120 million fleet renewal programme<\/strong> over five years, and aligns with the <strong>Toto Group Safety Plan<\/strong> and the <strong>#PensaSicuro<\/strong> campaign, which promotes training, prevention and technology-driven solutions to protect workers.<br\/>In partnership with Volvo Trucks Italia\u2019s Transport Solutions team, TCG has introduced dedicated driver training programmes focused on <strong>safe driving<\/strong> practices, <strong>fuel efficiency<\/strong> and the <strong>optimal use of onboard systems<\/strong>\u2014further strengthening a safety culture that goes beyond compliance standards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From both a commercial and technical standpoint, the operation was managed by <strong>FIMI Spa<\/strong> of San Benedetto del Tronto, the Volvo Trucks dealer responsible for deliveries, bodywork and customisation.<br\/>\u201c<strong>We are proud to support a fleet that sets the new benchmark for the industry ,<\/strong>\u201d said. <strong>Giuseppe Milazzo<\/strong>, Chairman and Managing Director of FIMI Spa. \u201cOur collaboration with TCG and Volvo Trucks combines expertise, tailored solutions and execution speed aligned with the real needs of construction sites, contributing to the development of the local supply chain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<strong>This partnership was created to generate value across the entire chain \u2013 from infrastructure projects to local communities,<\/strong>\u201d added <strong>Paolo Toto<\/strong> . \u201cTechnology, training and responsibility towards the territories we serve remain at the core of our strategy as we look ahead\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Investment of around \u20ac9 million in safety, logistics efficiency and sustainability across Italian construction sites Chieti, 12 February 2026 \u2013 Toto Costruzioni Generali (TCG) and Volvo Trucks Italia have finalised an order for 52 new Volvo trucks, to be deployed across TCG\u2019s main construction sites throughout Italy, from Sicily to Lombardy..
