Chieti October 12, 2018 – Toto Costruzioni Generali will design and build a new section of the S61 Expressway in Poland, between the Łomża and Kolno junctions, in Województwo Podlaskie, north-east of the Country.
The Italian Company, already operating in Poland over the last few years, has signed a contract worth about € 100 mln, comprising the design and construction of a 13 km tract of the S61 Expressway, and including 7 km of connections with secondary roads. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructure, Andrzej Adamczyk.
Construction works will take 37 months overall. Among the major works, besides 20 bridges and three junctions, “Łomża Zachód”, “Nowogród” and “Łomża Północ”, a 1,2 km double carriageway viaduct stands out with its 7 spans up to 150 meters wide, crossing Narew river.

The new contract consolidates Toto’s order book in Poland and confirms its growing presence on EU key foreign markets. The Company is already engaged in the construction of a section of the S5 Expressway between Poznan and Breslavia, marking an advancement rate of 80% today, and in another road project in Czech Republic.
